I love defence.
Oh, and that Ichiro guy is kind of OK.
I like the way Korea played more than japan. Death by single wouldn't be my first choice. I'm with johnny was: sign ryu! Maybe darvish too, but he won't come.
Agreed, it was an awesome game. Thought the hwighting Koreans would pull it out but as you said; Ichiro and his fires within had other plans.
I can't recall what the exact numbers were, but I remember seeing a stat that Japan had around 60 singles but only 1 HR in the entire WBC. Looks like you don't need the long ball to win games.
I guarantee Ichiro delivered an expletive-laced motivational speech to his teammates prior to the game, as he is wont to do.
The Toronto Blue Jays beg to differ Ian. They're on their hands and knees, begging to the highest power for their chance to differ.
Korea totally won me over in that game, sorry Ichiro. Their D came up with play after play to keep them in the game and then their offense finally came through. It was terrific... and then your boy stepped in.Ah well, what a great game.
This is the definition of a fair-minded, reasoned post.Well played.
