  3. I can't recall what the exact numbers were, but I remember seeing a stat that Japan had around 60 singles but only 1 HR in the entire WBC. Looks like you don't need the long ball to win games.

  6. Korea totally won me over in that game, sorry Ichiro. Their D came up with play after play to keep them in the game and then their offense finally came through. It was terrific... and then your boy stepped in.

    Ah well, what a great game.
